#2 - Campus Life 5k - May 28, 2011

 I was able to run the First Annual Campus Life 5K in Murfreesboro on Memorial Day weekend.  It was a good route, mostly flat.  It started at Central Magnet School, just off the square and we ran through the streets and looped back around to end at the school.  I really enjoyed the run.  My time was about 37:24.  The weather was hot and getting humid.

Joe P. Rally 5k - April 16, 2011

After training with the Couch-to-5K program since January, I was ready for the 5K on April 16th. 

The race was in Nashville's Centennial Park.  Caiden enjoyed the scenery in the park including this very old steam engine.

All the proceeds from this race benefited childhood cancer research. It is in memory of "Joseph P." who passed away a few years ago from a childhood cancer at the age of 4.

A Personal Goal...

...accomplished! I completed my first 5K this past Saturday at the Nashville Predators Fangtastic event. I couldn't have done it without the support of my great family and friends, especially Cliff & Val who never left my side the whole race. We had so much fun. We're looking forward to who we can recruit to run with us next year!
