It's Coming...

...on Sunday. The 51st running of the Daytona 500 Nascar race. I am so ready for race season. So, you'll find me on the couch in front of the TV for the next several months worth of Sundays, watching racing and snoozing during the caution flags. Go Gordon #24!

Congrats Jimmy Johnson!

Jimmy Johnson claimed his 3rd (in a row) Nascar championship today. Yeah! Oh, and yes, I'm a huge Nascar fan. Now, I just have to find something to do on Sunday afternoons until Daytona in February, ugh!

Out for a Saturday ride...

at the NASHVILLE SUPERSPEEDWAY! Yes, I said it. I was able to take a 3 lap ride in a Nationwide series car at the Nashville Superspeedway today. It was awesome! I'm a Nascar fan and was so excited when this opportunity came up (Thanks Frank & Harry too!). It totally made my year! Now, I can check that off my Bucket List. Now, I just have to save $400 to drive 8 laps around the track. Anyone wanna make donations?

Enblazened on the package was a picture of a bright red, number 8, Dale Earnhardt Jr. car. I was secretly hoping the package was mistaken and inside was a bright blue and other multi-colored, number 24, Jeff Gordon car. Ugh...it was not! But Dawson loves his new car that he received from my parents for his birthday. I'm still dealing with the trauma of having a red #8 in our yard! I'm not, however, abandoning my roots and letting Jeff Gordon down. I'm just letting Dawson ride it until my parents decide he's "tough enough" to drive a #24 car! Maybe he can hook up with his friend, Reed and they can be the next team of racing legends.
