For the Birds

One morning I heard a large thump in the kitchen. Scared me to death. Come to find out, here was a robin flying from the gazebo frame and landing on to the screen in the window and pecking at it. He never flew away just back-and-forth. He continued this until late morning. I did several things to try to scare him away. I banged on the window and even put a piece of aluminum foil in the window thinking that he'd see his shadow and stop. None of it worked.

The next morning, he was back. And the next morning and the next. This continued all week long. On the weekend, Dale removed the screen. The next morning, he was landing in the lilac bush nearest the window and still trying to fly in to it. He kept his up about 3 days until, I guess, he realized he wasn't getting anywhere and finally quit.

We're still baffled at what in the world he was doing. It was such a strange thing that I had to share. Have you ever had any crazy bird experience?

Baby Eli & Baby Iva

We traveled to Michigan in March during spring break so we could be a part of Eli & Iva Bebow's baptism. Mandy & Dan asked us to be their sponsors. We were and continue to be very honored to be a special part of their lives through this.

Bugz!

All of the kindergarten classes performed their spring program, titled "Bugz." They performed and sang 6 songs, along with telling a story. There were all kinds of bugz present at the performance including butterflies, beetles, bumble bees, cockroaches, fruit flies and army ants. Caiden was an army ant. The program was incredible. Very impressive! Here are some pics to share with you.

Dale's Turns 39!

The same day as my Gram's party was Dale's actual birthday. So, we decided that later that evening we'd throw him a surprise party. Thanks to all the family and friends that showed up to surprise him. He had a blast. Can't you tell by the look on his face?!

We decorated in dinosaurs for the party. My mom found these dinosaurs (which we later figured out were actually dragons) and we hung them from the ceiling for the party. The boys ended up playing with them and now sleep with them. Here they are showing off their dragons. Cole can actually ride his.

Gram turns #80!

In March, we traveled back to Michigan to celebrate my gram's 80th birthday. For her birthday, she wanted to have a party with several of her friends who she plays cards with. It was an afternoon of much fun. Doesn't she look great for 80 years old. I hope I inherit those genes!

Here's Gram with one of her friends.

Grandparents Day at MDO

In March, Dawson's mom's day out program hosted a "grandparents day" breakfast. Dawson was proud to have his Grandma and Grandpa Binder attend. They made crafts and had treats.

It was a fun day!
